Ai Li Mok began her dance training at Ishin Dance Studio, being exposed to a wide variety of dance styles including Ballet, Modern, Contemporary, Chinese Traditional Dance, and Jazz. During her time there, Ai Li has been accredited with distinction on vocational ballet examinations from the Royal Academy of Dance and Russian Vaganova syllabus. She has also competed in many International Ballet Competitions including Asian Grand Prix and Young Ballet Stars Award, and has been awarded Silver in the Pre-competitive division at Taiwan Grand Prix in 2013. Ai Li continued dancing through high school, and received the opportunity to represent her school in attending the National High School Dance Festival in Pittsburgh in 2018 and 2020. This experience has led her to receive scholarships from organizations including Modas Dance, Milwaukee Ballet, and Joffrey Ballet School, giving her the opportunity to work with choreographers Bradley Shelver and Michael Waldrop. Ai Li began taking classes at Le Studio de 62, under the direction of Tzer-Shing Wang in 2020, and is currently in her final year at The Boston Conservatory at Berklee. She is now studying under faculty members Marcus Schulkind, Adriana Suarez, Gianni Dimarco, Brian McGinnis, Russell Clarke, and Dean Vollick. Through her time at the Conservatory, Ai Li has performed works from Decadance, Divertimo #15 Themes and Variations, as well as La Vivandiere, where she danced to a live orchestra. More recently, she has been teaching dance classes at community centers weekly and given the opportunity to work as a rehearsal assistant with faculty member Kurt Douglas and Boston Conservatory at Berklee alumni Avery Gerhardt.
